Shawn Weber has intensive training in alternate dispute resolution and specific training in family and divorce mediation. He is a family law attorney with over ten years experience. Because he is experienced in family law, he can organize the discussion of the issues and make sure both of you understand your options and their risks and benefits. When an informed agreement is reached, you can expect Mr. Weber's written memorandum to be most suited for your attorney’s review. Additionally, Mr. Weber is a trained Collaborative Divorce practitioner. Mr. Weber has five children, works with at risk youth at his church, and volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America.
Professional Background
Mr. Weber began his family law career in 1999 as a law clerk with the Law Office of Georgine Brave. He began mediating even while still in law school. While still maintaining a litigation practice, Mr. Weber's primary focus is on alternate dispute resolution. Now a managing partner and CFO of Brave, Weber & Mack, APLC, he provides a personal touch in every mediation and collaborative case. He has developed a reputation as a compassionate and professional practitioner who seeks to serve the family's best interest through creative solutions.
Mr. Weber served on the Board of Directors of the Collaborative Family Law Group of San Diego from 2005 to 2010 and as its President in 2009.

Approach
Mr. Weber follows a transformative approach to mediation. Divorce and family law disputes can be extraordinarily and personally painful. Mr. Weber strives to help people, from a non-biased viewpoint, face the conflict between them, understand the other party's viewpoint, and strengthen the parties' ability to handle conflict in a productive manner. Mr. Weber is particularly adept at assisting the resolution of even high conflict divorce and custody matters.
Fees
$300 per hour paid at time of service. If the parties choose for the mediator to prepare a marital settlement agreement, a $2000 deposit is collected to prepare the agreement and all papers required by the court to obtain a divorce.
