Experience

Ms. Wenetschlaeger brings her extensive dispute resolution education and experience and her work as a litigator in the family law field, along with her background in psychology, to assist clients through the mediation process. She has served in international mediations, as well as local disputes, in addition to having served as an advocate for parties in mediation. In addition to her service in the dispute resolution industry, Ms. Wenetschlaeger worked for the District Attorneys’ offices in both Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, California. She is also an active legal practitioner, serving as a family law attorney in the Las Colinas area of Irving and in Abilene, Texas. 

She has served as a pro bono mediator for the Court in Denton County as well as the Better Business Bureau in Abilene, Texas. Ms. Wenetschlaeger is certified as an Arbitrator for the BBB Auto Line. She has also served as a mediator in the Ventura County, California Family Courts, the Small Claims Court of Los Angeles County and has trained inner city students in a Peer Mediation program for the City of Los Angeles. 

Awards/Distinctions

In 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009 Ms. Wenetschlaeger received the distinction of being named a “Rising Star Super Lawyer in Texas” by her peers. 

Teaching/Speaking

Ms. Wenetschlaeger teaches advanced mediation courses in Abilene Christian University’s Master’s Degree Program in Dispute Resolution. She has also taught for the Straus Institute of Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California. She is a conference speaker/communication skills trainer, emphasizing the need for alternative dispute resolution in the faith-based communities as well as secular businesses.

Council Member for the State Bar of Texas, ADR Section; Council Member of Texas Mediator Trainer Roundtable (TMTR);  Abilene Bar Association; Dallas Bar Association’s Family Law Section and Dispute Resolution Section; Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association; Texas Association of Mediators; and Advisory Board Member for the Center for Conflict Resolution at Abilene Christian University. 

Ms. Wenetschlaeger is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in the U.S. Northern District of Texas;
