Mediation Solutions provides mediation, facilitation, consensus-building processes, and communication skills training, both in-person and online. Teresa Michelsen is a mediator and facilitator with more than 15 years of experience working on complex public policy cases and community/family mediations. Teresa participated in the State of Washington facilitation pool and is on the Oregon roster of ADR professionals. Teresa is certified by the Washington Mediation Association. She is also on the roster of the US Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution Professionals.

Teresa has served as a facilitator on projects relating to waterfront construction and redevelopment, land use, facility siting, allocation of liability, solid and hazardous waste issues, natural resource damages, dredging, and regulatory streamlining. Teresa also conducts online and in-person mediations of workplace, neighborhood, family, and commercial disputes.

One of our specialties is online dispute resolution. This approach can be applied for all or part of the process and is both more convenient and less expensive than in-person services. Online processes are especially valuable for: ~ International and interstate disputes ~ Geographically diverse workgroups ~ Frequent travelers or over-scheduled employees ~ Anyone who can't afford to take time off work ~ Parents with child-care needs ~ Small business owners ~ Housebound, handicapped, or elderly persons ~ Those more comfortable with online communication ~ Highly emotional situations with the potential for escalation.
