Description of Practice
Having spent more than 30 years representing injured plaintiffs, and 8 years working in the Worcester Superior Court, 4 of them as the Clerk of Courts and Magistrate, I am able to speak to injured claimants in a language they understand. My extensive knowledge of the court system coupled with my direct manner of speaking to the plaintiffs about the serious risks they will face at trial, have resulted in me being able to enjoy a nearly 100% success rate in bringing claims to a close at mediation. I honestly assess the claimant's damages and candidly explain to them the likelihood of their success or failure in the courtroom. Many times I am merely repeating what their lawyers have told them, but it seems to carry more weight from me given the depth and reach of my experience. I am extremely confident that if you have a personal injury claim I will settle the matter. Give me the opportunity and I will prove it to you. Sincerely, Fran Ford of fordmediation.com. Thank you.
Clerk of Courts & Magistrate for Worcester Superior Court, 2003-2007 Private Practice of Law, 1979-2003 Mediator, 2003-to date.
When I became the Clerk of Courts & Magistrate for Worcester County in 2003, I began mediating the cases which were on the Superior Court docket. I successfully mediated hundreds of Superior Court civil matters during my tenure as Clerk.
Hold Cross College, B.A., Political Science, 1974 Suffolk University School of Law, J.D., 1978
I approach dispute resolution with an open mind and a conviction that the parties have come to the table expecting to have their matter resolved in the session.
My overhead is low and, therefore, my fees are low. I charge $500.00 per party at the mediation and I do not put a time deadline on my services. My job is to settle the claim, not watch the clock.
