Mediation emphasizes honest communication, and informed decision making while keeping you in charge of the outcome. The process assists you in creating a settlement that will stand the test of time, is mutually beneficial to all parties, and ensures that the agreement reached is right for you and your family.

Ms. Jones-Herriott is the Executive Director of The Community Mediation Center of Rhode Island (CMCRI). Founded in 1996, CMCRI is Rhode Island’s only non-profit community mediation center.
CMCRI provides mediation and dispute resolution services to community residents and organizations regardless of their ability to pay. In 2008 CMCRI staff and volunteer mediators intervened in over 400 disputes, both in the community and in the Small Claims Courts, assisting with family and parent-teen conflicts, court-involved juveniles, neighbor-to-neighbor, organizational and workplace disputes, agricultural conflicts, landlord-tenant, human rights cases, and small claims matters. By providing a forum in which parties can meet face to face to discuss their differences, CMCRI offers a voluntary, cooperative and constructive way of resolving conflicts and reaching agreements.
The Center also provides mediation, facilitation and conflict resolution training to adults and children in the community and in the schools, as well as mentoring opportunities for new mediators, and ongoing education and training for experienced mediators.
The underlying goal of the Center's work is to build dispute resolution capacity in and to strengthen individuals, families and communities. Mediation enables individuals to build bridges within diverse populations by providing opportunities to solve disputes peacefully, preserve relationships and address root causes of conflict.

Mediation is a family-centered conflict resolution process in which an impartial third party assists the participants in negotiating a consensual and informed settlement. In mediation, the decision-making authority rests with the parties. The role of the mediator includes reducing the obstacles to communication, maximizing the exploration of alternatives, and addressing the needs of those it is agreed are involved or affected.
Mediation is based on principles of problem solving that focus on the needs of the participants, fairness, privacy, self-determination, and the best interests of all family members.
*Because mediation is focused on the future, we will search for all solutions, not dwell on the past, and create an Agreement that is individually tailored to meet your needs!

We help people evaluate the best approach for achieving family transitions or resolving conflicts. Deborah Bennett Berecz (pronounced Be-Reece) and her staff believe that a lawsuit isn't always the answer to a dispute. With the help of a neutral, most people craft an agreement that feels fair to all involved--and one that protects their children to the maximum degree possible. Further, most people adhere to an agreement they had a hand in crafting so post-judgment years are marked by peace and not continued conflict. Deborah is committed to assisting spouses, parents, business owners, employees, and neighbors in finding the most effective and satisfying path to resolution for any legal situation.

The mission of THENEWDMA is to provide effective, efficient, training in an environment that is fun and conducive to learning.
Bob Berlin and Carolyn Raines have combined their various expertise and experiences to offer a variety of trainings and programs relevant to many aspects of professional life. From Mediation/Neutrals training, to Leadership/Management Team training, to Customer Service training; we offer the best available in the Southeast!
In 1991 Bob and Virginia Berlin established Decision Management Associates, Inc. to provide Appropriate Dispute Resolution (ADR) services throughout Georgia. As an attorney, educator, judge, legislator and therapist, Bob saw the need for dispute resolution strategies outside the courtroom. With 25 years experience as an educator and trainer, Bob and wife, Virginia, teamed up to provide mediation and dispute resolution training.
In the years since Virginia’s passing, Bob discovered his passion for teaching and mentoring has increased. In 2006 Carolyn Raines accepted the invitation to join forces to create new and relevant programs to add to the already successful training – thus The New DMA, Inc.
Once you experience our training, all others will pale in comparison. We will welcome you into our family and help you use your newly acquired skills to be the best mediator.

Dr. Kamila Blessing practices family and organizational mediation nationally, with offices in Western Pennsylvania. The style of mediation is quiet, pastoral, and effective: you speak directly to her, and hear your own words reflected back until they are accurate. Other parties to the dispute hear your words in the mediator's voice. Often for the first time, all of you genuinely hear each other.
If a written agreement is appropriate, it is provided. For 1/2 to 1/3 of what attorneys charge, you achieve agreement, resolution and often real healing. Initial consultation is free.
Blessing has been problem-solving for industry, churches and families for over 30 years. She specializes in developing healthy communication in the whole larger "system" of the people involved.

My practice centers on the belief that Mediation works. It is an affordable, efficient and caring process that lets couples create solutions that lead to new lives with dignity, respect and self-sufficiency and allows for positive co-parenting. Mediation develops clarity between people and ends with documents that record the agreement. Together couples find their own answers and make informed decisions that work for them. Their solutions are as unique as the individuals and the situation. I create a safe environment where clients discuss solutions regarding child support, parenting alimony, living arrangements, finances and retirement. Couples who use mediation find they are much more satisfied with their agreement and have a smoother post divorce relationship.

Mr. Dukhovny's mediation practise consists of two major aspects. In one, Right Triangle Mediation, Alex helps resolve disputes in a traditional mediation sense by getting all the parties together in a physical location and facilitating communication with clients, attorneys, plaintiffs and defendants. I another, American Mediation, the traditional physical contact is cast out from the equation in order to provide a more affordable medium of communication and resolution to consumers in pro per. This so called virtual mediation allows everyone from all walks of life to afford Alternative Dispute Resolution. Regardless of the case or the process, Mr. Dukhovny, treats each case with the individual attention it requires in order to reach an amicable resolution.

Terri Lubaroff specializes in problem solving. Lubaroff’s approach is to provide a neutral, comfortable and safe environment from which to facilitate resolution.
Focusing primarily in entertainment, intellectual property, copyright, music, contract and new media mediations, Lubaroff also offers mediations for complex business deals, such as share redistributions, company acquisitions and closely held company negotiations.
Servicing individual companies in a wide variety of settings, Lubaroff is the go-to mediator when egos are involved and confidentiality is a must. I offer conflict coaching with individuals, mediation with two parties, and also work with groups facing conflict that touches more than two parties, such as in the workplace or in community projects. What I do is teach people how to work through their disagreements and build productive ways to communicate, whether it’s in their personal lives or at work. I help people clarify their needs and priorities – what’s truly important for them in all the commotion. And I help them generate and explore options for how they can address their essential needs and concerns.

My ADR practice includes mediation, arbitration and work as a special discovery master. The subject areas in which I work are: contract and other commercial disputes, securities and employment disputes. My varied litigation background (U.S. Attorney's Office, NYS Attorney General's Office, private securities firm, Legal Aid, private law firms) enhances my ability to see both sides of a dispute and to help parties in a mediation do the same. This background, which includes substantial trial experience, contributes to my ability to conduct fair and expeditious arbitrations.
