Charles Hogge graduated from Virginia Military Institute with the Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He continued his studies in mathematics, electronics, and management at three universities. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves on active duty for two years as an Artillery Lieutenant. He enjoyed a forty-eight year distinguished engineering career, and obtained eleven patents. In 1987, he was honored, along with sixteen colleagues, with the Engineer of the Year award by Rockwell International. He is a Life Senior Member of the IEEE. In 2004 he completed the Southern Methodist University Advanced Graduate Studies in Dispute Resolution certificate program. He is a member of the Southwest Conflict Resolution Network.
