George Burn is a partner and international co-leader of BCLP’s international arbitration group. He is an international arbitration specialist, with 20 years’ experience in representing and advising clients of all types in a wide range of arbitral proceedings and across a range of sectors. His representative experience includes arbitrations conducted under most of the major institutional rules. He also has a long track-record in investor-state arbitration, usually appearing for investors bringing claims under a variety of bilateral and multilateral investment treaties. In those cases, he has led teams that have broken new ground on important jurisdictional issues and other questions of public international law, including addressing international criminal law issues and issues relating to INTERPOL Red Notices. He also regularly sits as an arbitrator.
