Katie Duval is an Associate in the International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution practice group based in London. Having trained with the firm, Katie qualified into the International Arbitration and Projects, Engineering, and Construction team in 2016. Katie's practice focuses on high-value, complex, international commercial disputes in both international arbitration and English Court proceedings.
Katie also has an active pro bono practice. Through the firm's work with the Royal British Legion, Katie has represented service personnel before the War Pensions and Armed Forces Compensation Scheme Tribunal. Katie successfully acted for the respondent war widow before the Court of Appeal in Deakin v Secretary of State for Defence[2019] EWCA Civ 571.
In 2018, Legal 500 UK described Katie as, "an extremely hardworking, focused and able solicitor." In 2017, Katie was awarded the firm's citizenship award for providing training to Balkans' lawyers in how to bring actions under international law against gender-based violence.
