Kim Bobrosky is a mediator and trainer in Pittsburgh PA.
Mr. Bobrowsky maintains a full-time private practice in Mediation and Arbitration. He serves on the Board of Governors of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Federal Bar Association and on the Board of Directors of Conflict Resolution Center International. He has served as a Special Master judge in jury trials in state court and as a Special Adjunct Settlement Judge with the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He is also Chair Emeritus of the Business Dispute Resolution Alliance.
Mr. Bobrowsky has successfully mediated disputes in both the public and private sectors in the fields of business, civil rights, construction, consumer, contracts, discrimination, education, employment, franchise, high technology, insurance, maritime, motor vehicles, negligence, personal injury, products liability, professional malpractice, and property damage. In addition to mediating civil litigation cases, he serves as a mediator for the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the United States Postal Service, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Bobrowsky is also on the part-time faculty of Duquesne University where he has taught more than a dozen graduate courses in conflict resolution. He teaches private mediation training and advanced mediation training to other mediators, and he is frequently asked to serve as a guest lecturer in the fields of mediation and dispute resolution. He was invited to serve and served as the moderator in a special half-day briefing on alternative dispute resolution sponsored by the Federal Bar Association in Washington, D.C. on February 20, 2002. He is also the author of mediation demonstrations that have been presented to the public locally at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, the Rivers Club, and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
He also provides private consulting and training in dispute resolution for businesses and government agencies. Mr. Bobrowsky has authored many published articles on mediation and mediation practice, and three of his articles have been distributed nationally and internationally (about 56 other countries) in Conflict Resolution Notes in 1999 and 2000. He also serves on the Executive Board of the University of Pittsburghs Center for Conflict Resolution and Negotiation and has served on the Board of Directors of the Mediation Council of Western Pennsylvania.
He brings 23 years of experience as a civil trial attorney to his practice as a mediator and arbitrator. His former civil litigation practice included primary responsibility for simple, complex, and multi-million dollar civil litigation for both plaintiffs and defendants. He has over 25 years of experience as both an Arbitrator and as an arbitrating attorney, and his experience as an arbitrator includes serving as the sole private arbitrator in complex commercial disputes and on the American Arbitration Associations Commercial Arbitration Panel.
Mr. Bobrowsky is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR). He is also a member of all Pennsylvania state courts, The United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, The Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and The United States Supreme Court. He is listed in Marquis' Who's Who in American Law, 1994-1995.
