Sharon Sturgess

Sharon Sturges, J.D., M.P.A., is the Director of the Colorado Office of Dispute Resolution, Court Services Division, State Court Administrator's Office. Prior to joining the State Court Administrator's Office, Ms. Sturges engaged in private practice for over fifteen years litigating and mediating domestic relations (family) issues. Prior to private practice, she worked as a SB94 Director, Wraparound Coordinator, and Promoting Safe and Stable Families administrator for Hilltop Community Resources, Inc. She has served on both the Access to Justice Committees in rural Colorado as well as the Mesa County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Board. Ms. Sturges served as the executive director for a community mediation center in Anchorage, Alaska, where she practiced prior to moving to Colorado in 1998. She has mediated privately in domestic, criminal, and civil matters in over two hundred cases. In 2014, Ms. Sturges completed her Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado, Denver. Ms. Sturges has been very active in access to justice issues to increase options for self-represented litigants.
