Event Details
Join the Godfather of ODR, Colin Rule, for a dynamic six week intensive course that covers the basics of online dispute resolution (ODR). This class will meet on five consecutive Thursdays in January/Feburary of 2023 from 9am to 12pm PST

The Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) revolution is here. Over the past five years the dispute resolution field has moved online, and it will never go back. Now most mediations and arbitrations default to virtual interaction, with face-to-face as an exception. Every dispute resolution process now involves technology in some way. But even more change is coming around the corner, with disruptive technologies like machine learning and quantum computing just over the horizon.
In this Masterclass, ODR pioneer Colin Rule will help you move your practice ahead of this curve. At the end of this training all participants will be prepared to lead the dispute resolution field into this new online reality, and to ensure that they benefit from these changes as opposed to being left behind. If you decide to participate, you will learn how to design and implement ODR systems, building and configuring your own ODR instance, from intake to mediation, arbitration, and settlement.
Included in every Masterclass registration is a one-year subscription to the ODR.com platform (the most advanced ODR system available) capable of handling up to 500 cases per year (a $2600+ value). In this training Colin will assist you in the design, configuration and testing of your personal ODR.com instance, giving you the tools you will need to succeed in the age of ODR.
Masterclass participants who complete the full course will also receive certification as an ODR.com systems designer, qualifying them to configure ODR instances for client organizations, practitioners, and agencies (making them eligible to participate on future ODR projects as the platform expands).
Pricing
Registration for this class is $999 prior to December 25, and $1299 prior to January 19. Cancellations up to 30 days before the start of the Masterclass are eligible for a full refund less $250. Cancellations within 30 days before the start of the Masterclass will forfeit the full amount. Transfers and substitutions are not allowed.

Event Details
Complex multi-party, multi-issue conflicts often seem chaotic to mediators, diplomats, executives, and disputants. Learn to build mediation process designs that enable parties and their constituents to develop actionable and sustainable agreements. With well-constructed process strategies, mediators and conflict managers respond to conflict challenges as elements of knowable systemic dynamics.
Process design is the strategic infrastructure that enables large, diverse groups to resolve complex conflict. The numerous inter-related moving parts of parties, issues, power relations, history, dynamics, and constraints create configurations that require uniquely tailored process designs. By understanding the basic building blocks of process design and learning to refine and sequence process mechanisms, mediators and managers can effectively use the opportunities created by complexity for successful conflict resolution. Strategic process designs are implemented in international peacemaking, public policy, and business contexts.
Susan Podziba, a public policy mediator for more than 30 years, has designed and mediated scores of cases across the policy spectrum for clients including the United States Departments of Commerce, Defense, Education, Labor, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, and Transportation, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Senate, U.S. Institute for Peace, United Nations, The World Bank, British Council, Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research, Emilia Romagna Regional Authority of Italy, and Negotiation Strategies Institute of Jerusalem.

Event Details
Taught by Melissa Kucinski, this virtual program is open to family mediators who want to advance their mediation skills to work more productively with families where cross-border parenting issues arise. This training will help family mediators spot potential issues that require additional discussion and consideration between the parents, and help the mediator have a more sophisticated understanding of how to approach these complex multi-jurisdictional situations. The training will cover the legal and practical aspects of international custody, child relocation, and child abduction that may arise when a family’s background includes more than one jurisdiction.
