Laura Benghal’s workshop will be an exploration of the intersection of faith, spirituality, and conflict resolution. Participants will have time to learn, reflect, connect, and explore various themes. Discussions will include: the multiple dimensions of conflict resolution, the unique qualities of faith-based belief systems, practical tools for faith-based conflict resolution, considerations for dispute system design, and spiritual wellness.

Learn essential conflict resolution skills for becoming a family mediator. This 40-hour course meets the training requirements of the Oklahoma District Court Mediation Act to be court approved as a family and divorce mediator in Oklahoma. The course will also meet the mediation training requirements for family mediators in most states. Course is taught online with Zoom.

Elvia Garcia’s The Power of Circles is an introduction to the key elements and uses of the Circle process, for conflict resolution practitioners and mediators. Through interactive participation and skills practice, participants will learn how to successfully apply their mediation and conflict resolution skills in the role of Circle-Keeper, including in an online format.

This class is offered to the public, attorneys, counselors/social workers, educators, and HR staff. This course is designed to give individuals the skills and credentials they need to serve as mediators in the State of Texas. This course meets the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable standards as required by the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association. All Course materials will be provided including a digitized workbook and up to date reference which includes forms and the materials you need to start a practice.

This intense one-day class focuses on the ethics and principles of basic arbitration. Emphasis is placed on the importance of communicating for arbitrator success. Explored are the core tenets of arbitration, to include the arbitrator’s opening statement, the oath of all participants, arbitration formats and procedures, the Federal Arbitration and Texas Arbitration Acts, and the enforceability of the provisions. This training program is interactive and participatory.

The focus of this one-day class is practical but will review in-depth procedures and advance participants’ ability to conduct complex civil and international arbitrations. We will take a close look at the overall proceedings, and the finer points of complex arbitrations, including a section on the laws of evidence from the perspective of the arbitrator. Examples of Reasoned Awards will be studied and provided to participants.

This dynamic and interactive course will prepare you to mediate online by addressing and practicing the logistics, skills, and techniques required for successful mediation in the virtual world. Course is taught online using Zoom.
