Strathclyde Mediation Clinic Annual Conference 2023

Working within the courts: the role of mediation and mediation clinics in civil justice systems 

Saturday 18 March 2023 (online and in person in Glasgow, Scotland, UK) 

We look forward to welcoming you the new Teaching and Learning Building at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.

The event will be chaired by Dr Vanessa Collingridge with panel discussion and dedicated networking time, the event builds on the success of previous conferences.  All presenters will be in Glasgow and all presentations and workshops will be broadcast online in real time if you are unable to attend on the day.

With a keynote from Tony Allen “Mediating in the Shadow of the Law” as well as workshops “What we Learn from our own Practice”;  “The Consumer Voice”; “How to prevent “a slip ‘twixt the cup and the lip”! How to encourage parties to mediate after a court referral to the Mediation Clinic; a workshop “Working with Lawyers in Mediation” delivered by Dr Anna Howard, Guest Lecturer, University College, London.

The conference will be of interest to academics, students of law and dispute/conflict resolution, lawyers, judges and court administrators – and of course, mediators!
