TITLE: SENIOR MANAGEMENT ANALYST

LOCATION: OFFICE OF COURT ADMINISTRATION DIVISION OF ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION CASTLETON-ON-HUDSON, NY BASE

SALARY: $107,629

CLASSIFICATION: NON-COMPETITIVE/CONFIDENTIAL

QUALIFICATIONS: One year in the Management Analyst title; or Master's degree in Public or Business Administration from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of relevant experience; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK: Senior Management Analysts are responsible to the Director of the Office of Court Administration's (OCA's) Management and Planning Office, or to other court administrators or administrative judges, for supervising a number of complex, on-going, projects involving research, analysis, planning, and policy formulation related to court administration and management. Senior Management Analysts also participate in complex study projects under the direction of Principal Management Analysts, or work with substantial independence from supervision on individual research projects, and perform other related duties.

ASSIGNMENT: This position will be assigned to the Community Dispute Resolution Centers and will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the Community Dispute Resolution Program (CDRP) established pursuant to Article 21 A of the Judiciary Law. CDRC services are provided by nineteen nonprofit partners who provide free and low-cost ADR services, including mediation, conflict coaching, and restorative justice services, in more than 20,000 cases a year. Duties include but are not limited to: overseeing the development and implementation of polices, standards and procedures for monitoring $8.5M in CDRC contract budgets; overseeing two staff members; liaising with ADR Coordinators from local judicial districts to ensure that CDRC services are meeting the local needs of courts; conducting site visits and providing technical assistance to CDRCs and local courts; researching promising program models and national trends in community mediation; facilitating collaboration among CDRC contractors; collaborating with the ADR Division Training Coordinator to support initial, advanced, and continuing training for volunteers and staff; partnering with ADR Division data staff to prepare, distribute, and analyze case data; writing and preparing reports as required by Article 21A and other internal stakeholders; leading trainings and outreach presentations; seeking and implementing grant-funded projects that promote the use of CDRCs outside of the court context. The ideal candidate will be trained and experienced in mediation and other ADR processes as well as be knowledgeable of the community mediation model. Excellent writing and communication skills are required. Travel is required for this position.
