I serve exclusively as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit, County and Appellate Court mediator, as a United States District Court, Middle District of Florida Certified Mediator and as a qualified arbitrator in civil litigation throughout the State of Florida, including personal injury and wrongful death, product liability, insurance coverage property claims, commercial, real estate, workers’ compensation, homeowners’ association, nursing home and family cases. My experience is built on 34 years as a practicing litigator, prosecuting and defending cases from pre-suit through verdict and appeal, and includes attendance and negotiation at countless mediations and arbitrations.
The geographic scope of my services includes: (a) all Circuit and County Court Circuits by videoconference; (b) all Circuits from the Fifth through and including the Thirteenth Circuits, the Twentieth Circuit, and by telephone appointment, the Fifteenth, Seventeenth and Eighteenth Circuits; and (c) the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida – Ft. Myers, Ocala, Orlando and Tampa Divisions.
2 Parties: $200 per hour per party*
3 Parties: $175 per hour per party*
4 Parties: $150 per hour per party*
5+ Parties: $125 per hour per party*
*Separately represented parties. (Parties represented by one attorney/law firm are treated as a single party)
Three-Hour Minimum for 1/2 day Mediations; Six-Hour Minimum for full day Mediations.
Agreement to arbitrate with Alan D. Stewart, regardless of whether the matter is referred by the Court, shall constitute agreement to waive the per diem limit set by Fla. Stat. § 44.103 (3). All arbitrations not subject to a Court-Order specified hourly rate shall be billed at the above-specified hourly rate.
$150.00 per party for round-trip travel of more than 120 miles from Tampa.
Less than 3 business days’ notice: Cancellation Fee equal to 3 hours of service for ½ day mediations or arbitrations and Cancellation Fee equal to 6 hours of service for full-day mediations or arbitrations.
