Ms. Villanueva holds a master’s degree in negotiation and conflict resolution and received training at Pepperdine University’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, “Mediating the Litigated Case.” Ms. Villanueva has mediated hundreds of litigated cases and is on the Court Mediation Panel of Alameda Superior Court.

Mae Villanueva specializes in working with wage and hour claims within the residential care home (RCF) and restaurant industries. She has mediated over a hundred litigated cases as a court appointed mediator at the Superior Court of California, County of Alameda.

Ms. Villanueva uses advanced negotiation and mediation tools and uses a combination of mediation modes depending on the parties’ needs. She believes that effective and empathic listening is one of the most effective tools in resolving almost any type of dispute.
