I am a past president of the Southern California Mediation Association. I have served on the board of trustees of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association for 6 years. I am one of the founders and president of The Valley Bar Mediation Center, a non-profit mediation center sponsored by the San Fernando Valley Bar association which serves communities that cannot afford the high cost of litigation. Based upon extensive training and experience, Mr. Sankary employs an “integrative” approach to dispute resolution, applying legal analysis, negotiating strategies, and collaboration, as well as evaluative and facilitative techniques when appropriate. I also apply the principles underlying the social science of persuasion to focus on the personal and emotional aspects of resolving conflict. Mr. Sankary is an expert in the cognitive science of bias and is noted for his MCLE lectures on Elimination of Bias in the Legal System which he gives to law firms and bar association. Knowledge of the science of persuasion and bias is invaluable for mediating high conflict disputes.
