My entire career as a lawyer has been spent fighting for plaintiffs in personal injury cases. I graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1995. In 1994, I started as a law clerk at Simmons and Fletcher in what was supposed to be a clerk-only position with no room for advancement. I was responding to motions for summary judgment filed against the senior partner in personal injury cases. After passing the Texas Bar in 1995, I continued to work for the firm gaining more and more responsibilities. That evolved into an associate’s position and eventually, I became a Shareholder.
In 2005, I became Board Certification in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2005. I have been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer by Thompson-Reuters 2017-2022, and a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers Association 2017-2022. In 2020 I received the Outstanding Mentor Award from the Houston Young Lawyer’s Association for mentoring other lawyers and aspiring lawyers.
My practice has included litigating truck accidents, car accidents, work injuries, slip and falls, dog attacks, wrongful death, and various other personal injury claims.
I have also taught CLE courses on Dog Bite Law online for several companies.
