As a solo practitioner, I have handled a variety of types of cases. Over my 30 years of practice, I have done family law, personal injury, employment discrimination, landlord/tenant (residential and commercial), and several contract disputes. This is in addition to criminal law, juvenile abuse and neglect cases.
I am one of the mediators on the Court Mandated eviction mediation program in my county. This program has only been in existence since January of 2022 and, to date, I have mediated approximately 40 cases.
In addition, I am also on the pro-bono list to mediate cases for the Missouri office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
I was one of the first of several mediators to begin the Eviction Mediation program in St. Clair County, IL (which also encompasses other Illinois counties). This program has only been in existence since January of 2022 and, to date, I have mediated approximately 40 cases.
I have taken the mediation courses in Illinois to be approved for mediation in civil cases (all forms-especially eviction and small claims); plus the 40 hour course to mediate family disputes.
I have also been placed on the mediator’s list for the U.S. District Court for Southern Illinois, and other counties in the area. In addition, I am also on the pro-bono list to mediate cases for the Missouri office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
My approach to mediation is that if anyone willing to mediate a dispute has the ability (with some help from a mediator), plus, is willing to listen and care about the other party, he/she can be successful in a resolution of that dispute.
