Ronald Butcher

As an experienced mediator, I am passionate about resolving conflicts and promoting workplace safety and health through effective communication and collaboration. With over 30 years of experience in workplace intervention, conflict resolution, and safety, I provide consulting services to organizations to help them address legal and regulatory compliance issues, prevent workplace accidents and injuries, and create a positive and productive work environment.

Drawing on my background in safety and paralegal work, I offer a unique perspective on addressing legal and regulatory issues related to workplace safety and health. I am skilled at identifying potential conflicts and hazards and navigating legal issues related to workplace safety and compliance. As a mediator, I facilitate communication and negotiation to prevent conflicts from escalating and help resolve disputes before they become legal problems.

Moreover, I have experience in employee assistance training, which allows me to provide training programs that promote employee wellness and mental health, helping organizations address complex workplace issues comprehensively. By leveraging my skills in mediation, safety, and employee assistance training, I can help organizations create a safe, healthy, and productive work environment while promoting collaboration, communication, and conflict resolution.

Overall, I am committed to partnering with organizations and individuals to enhance their culture, ensure legal compliance, promote effective communication, and support employee success. With my experience in high-risk and high-hazard environments, I am well-equipped to help organizations address complex challenges and achieve their goals.

Approach

I prioritize confidentiality, individual agency, and self-determination in my approach, acknowledging the transformative potential of mediation while upholding participants’ rights to determine their own agreements. To cultivate a safe and respectful environment, I promote active listening, open dialogue, and non-violent language. By facilitating both individual caucus and joint sessions, I support the parties in exploring various perspectives and options to arrive at mutually agreeable solutions. As a neutral advocate, I treat all parties with respect, empathy, and patience, ensuring that they are aware of their rights and have access to the necessary resources and information for a sustainable resolution.
