Scott R. Toner, Esq., is a Florida Supreme Court Certified County, Family, Circuit, and Appellate Court Mediator. He conducts private and court-ordered mediations. He is also a qualified arbitrator, who is approved by the Second, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, Ninth, Twelfth, Thirteenth, and Twentieth Circuit Courts for appointment as an arbitrator pursuant to Section 44.103, Florida Statutes, and Rule 11, Florida Rules for Court-Appointed Arbitrators.
He is also a partner in the law firm of Toner & Ramirez, P.A. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Florida, College of Business Administration, in 1999, and his Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University, College of Law, in 2003. Mr. Toner was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2003. He is also admitted to practice in the Northern, Middle, and Southern Federal District Courts of Florida as well as the Federal Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Throughout his legal career, Mr. Toner has been a civil litigation attorney; he has tried cases in county and state circuit courts and has handled appeals, including oral argument, before Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal and the Federal 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
For the first eight years of his practice, Mr. Toner was an insurance defense attorney, representing insurance companies and their insured parties. Since 2011, Mr. Toner has represented the injured parties relating to personal injury claims. He is a peer-reviewed, AV-rated attorney, which represents the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.
