James D. Hearn, Esq., MA, JD, LLM is a partner with the firm of Corleto, Ackerman & Hearn located in Encino, California. His practice is currently focused on the areas of real estate, taxation and estate planning. He received his law degree from the University of Southern California and his LLM in Taxation from the University of San Diego. Mr. Hearn also recently received his MA in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. In addition to his law practice Mr. Hearn is currently working on additional dual degrees. He is finishing up work on his LLM in Alternate Dispute Resolution, with an emphasis in Mediation, at the Straus Institute which is affiliated with the University of Pepperdine School of Law. Mr. Hearn will also receive his MA in Bioethics and Health Care Policy from the University of Loyola, Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine, in 2008. His intention is to apply disputes resolution techniques, such as negotiation and mediation, to disputes concerning questions of bioethics.
