Dr. Kreisberg was a Professor for 26 years at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he did seminal studies on the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy. His research led to an appointment as Senior Career Scientist for the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. In addition to his research, Dr. Kreisberg taught medical, dental and graduate students and served on the Medical School Admissions Committee for over 10 years. Upon his retirement in 2006, he relocated to Dallas, Texas and began studies in alternative dispute resolution at the Center for Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He plans on becoming a mediator, with expertise in transformation mediation, in healthcare conflict and conflicts in institutions of higher education. Dr. Kreisberg is also a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of the National Kidney Foundation of North Texas.
