Kyong Mazzaro supports the coordination and management of research agendas as Project Coordinator at the Advanced Consortium on Cooperation, Conflict, and Complexity (AC4) at the Earth Institute, Columbia University and the International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution (ICCCR) at Teachers College, Columbia University. Prior to joining AC4, Kyong Mazzaro was a NGO representative at the Economic and Social Council, and worked with the NGO Committee on the United Nations International Decade of the World’s Indigenous Peoples at the United Nations. As part of various advocacy activities, she researched the impact of natural resources management on poverty eradication and the link between social integration and sustainable development. Kyong, who was born in Caracas, also has experience working with immigrant communities in Venezuela and Italy. She received her master’s degree in migration studies from the University of Rome and her bachelor’s degree in international studies from the Central University of Venezuela.
