Commenced employment with the South Australian State Government as a typist in a typing pool, gained promotion as a supervisor, attended Adelaide University to learn about word processors, promoted to supervisor in a word processing unit. Moved to Queensland in 1990 where I applied for a position with a newly formed branch providing free community mediations. Attended Griffith University & attained a Master in Human Resource Management; Graduate Certificate in Dispute Resolution; gained National Mediator Accreditation. I have mediated in a variety of disputes, assisted in building a purpose built mediation centre, ran pilot programs for new dispute resolution processes. Moved back to South Australia in 2017 due to personal family reasons. Gained a position with the South Australian Police as a mediator in their newly formed Diversity and Inclusion Branch, mediating conflict/disputes between employees.
