Dr. Rafal Morek is an associate in the firm’s Warsaw office. He has extensive experience representing clients in commercial disputes before both state courts and arbitral tribunals. He also has vast experience in representing clients in the financial sector, in respect of contracts and real properties.
Prior to joining K&L Gates, he worked for an international law firm based in Washington. Before that, he was running his own practice in Warsaw concurrently with his academic carrier. Dr. Morek is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Warsaw. He is the author of several publications on mediation and arbitration, including commentary on part five of the Code of Civil Procedure – the Arbitration Court.
In 2009 Dr. Morek was appointed as the Secretary of the Council for Alternative Methods of Conflict and Dispute Resolution at Poland's Ministry of Justice.
