Renee Jackson grew up in a blue collar family outside of Boston, played college basketball at Columbia University, and then cut her teeth as a litigation paralegal at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York City. She earned a JD/MBA from the University of Connecticut, trained in employment law and litigation at Nixon Peabody, and then took her legal skills in-house to Zynga, Splunk, Wish, and Clutter. Renee held several executive roles in Legal, HR, and Compliance before becoming a founder. After over a decade in the Bay Area, she now lives a quieter life in New Hampshire with her partner and their dogs. She teaches Negotiations to business school students at the University of New Hampshire and runs Blue Oak Legal, a small law firm specializing in employment law, commercial contracting, tech transactions, product compliance, corporate compliance, dispute resolution, and investigations.
