Steffi Berkowitz, an award winning educator, national and international trainer and former school district ombudsman-mediator, earned bachelor and master’s degrees in speech/language pathology and communication disorders from the University of Miami. Steffi earned a second master’s degree in dispute resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law-Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. She is managing partner of the Berkowitz Civility Group, a firm specializing in education conflict and risk management, providing training, mediation, investigation and advocate services for schools and workplaces involved in or affected by harassment, intimidation and bullying. . .
Steffi is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, Mediators Beyond Borders and holds the trademark for the "Peaceful Mind Tree," a stress release tool to promote conflict competence.
She is honored to be mom to Joshua, an attorney with County of Santa Clara, Office of Mediation and Ombuds Services and Lindsay, Assistant Director of Restorative Practices, University of California, San Francisco.
