Steve Kesten practices law with his colleagues and friends at their office located in San Anselmo, California. Since moving his practice to Marin County in 1994, Steve has assisted small and medium sized businesses, individuals and professionals resolve disputes involving a broad range of matters including employment, real property, contracts and partnerships. Steve regularly assists clients with all manner of employment concerns, liability assessment, risk management, and the early resolution of claims and lawsuits. In addition to his legal practice, Steve has been an adjunct professor at San Francisco State University and Cal State Hayward 1995-2005. Steve has taught continuing education classes for lawyers in legal writing, tort litigation, evidence, mediation techniques, trial preparation and trial evidence. Steve lectures in the area of mediation and conflict resolution and, in addition to being a lawyer, holds a graduate degree in clinical psychology and conflict resolution. Among his other achievements, Steve is a past member of the Fairfax Planning Commission, a lead arbitrator with the San Francisco Bar Association, an arbitrator and Judge Pro Tem with the Marin County Superior Court, a former Marin County Employment Law Section Chair, and past treasurer of the Marin County Trial Lawyers Association. Steve is a past member of the California Employment Development Department’s Employer's Advisory Counsel. Steve has taught seminars for the EDD covering the early resolution of employment disputes and has published articles concerning mediation and the early resolution of employment disputes.
