Steve has over 20 years experience as an alternative dispute resolution professional and over 18 years experience with international dispute resolution.
International – Steve has spent extensive time interacting directly with managing lawyers in corporations and law firms in 7 Canadian Provinces, 11 Mexican States and 30 U.S. States/Districts. Created and manages ICDR Translation Committee, which has translated rules and documents into Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. Appointed by U.S. State Department to be member of the NAFTA 2022 Advisory Committee on Private Commercial Dispute Resolution and chairs its mediation committee.
Dispute Resolution Education - Organized multiple prominent international dispute resolution events in the North America, Europe, Asia and South America. Organized and lead training programs on negotiation, mediation and arbitration for corporate counsel groups.
Trainer - Significant experience presenting to large groups, training professionals, publishing articles, and building executive networks with multinational companies and top-tier law firms. Steve has organized and facilitated many mediation training programs.
ADR Rules & Process - Project manager over Resolution Services strategic initiative that included mediation, early neutral evaluation, fact-finding and mini-trial service offerings. Involved in many other AAA and ICDR Rule initiatives and project committees.
Mediator – Steve has mediated numerous disputes in diverse areas of law, with specific experience mediating commercial, construction, franchise, real estate, consumer, community and employment disputes. Has experience with doing mediations in Spanish and handling multicultural issues.
