Approach

I believe very strongly about a great deal of preparation as well as individual consultations with the participants prior to the mediation.  This helps me get a grasp on interests and needs, and allows me to build a level of trust and confidence with the participants.  I focus particularly on whether there are any expert or technical differences among the participants. If there is I will spend time with those experts and the participants before the mediation =to find common grough and mutual understanding of those issues and opinions.  I believe Zoom can be a very cost effective way to accomlish alot of the premediation work.

I use at least an initial joint session followed by party caucusing and eventually helping to develop and communicate proposals for resolution among the participants.
