CARE Mediation is a Center for Alternative Resolutions

Striving for Better Outcomes

We offer Marriage Repair, Marriage Mediation, and Divorce Mediation

When discord strikes a family, relationships suffer.

What is Marriage Mediation?

Marriage Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process that uses an impartial third person, the mediator, to facilitate meaningful conversation between husband and wife about difficult issues. The goal of mediation is to help people who are engaged in conflict or distancing, to make informed and thoughtful decisions to produce a better future.

Our practice is transformative, it assists clients to see new options and explore what their best resolution looks like.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the mediator tell us what to do? No, the mediator’s role is to facilitate healthy dialogue between the parties and provide out-of-the-box ideas that can bring you closer to resolution.

How is this different than using a lawyer? A lawyer works in the court model which is based on what you are entitled to. A mediator works in a relationship model focusing on the relationship and what solutions would best work for you and your spouse.

How long are mediation sessions? Sessions range from 1-3 hours, depending on client’s needs and availability.

How do I know if you are the right fit for us? We offer a free, 15 minute consultation giving you the opportunity to understand my process and style and ask any questions you might have.

Do you meet with clients together or separately? Most of the time the group meets together. My goal is to facilitate direct communication between spouses. Occasionally, I will recommend individual sessions, known as caucus, when I feel it would be helpful to the process.
