Bridge City Coffee founder named Upstate Mediation Center’s 2023 Peacemaker
The Upstate Mediation Center announced Sept. 11 Greg Ward, founder of Bridge City Coffee, was named its 2023 Peacemaker. Ward was nominated for how Bridge City Coffee worked to transform the for-profit business model by creating a people-centric, three-tier, impact-based business model focused on:
  • Fostering meaningful relationships with coffee bean farmers.
  • Prioritizing staff development with a growth mindset, active empathy and a pursuit of excellence.
  • Serving as a bridge for nonprofit community partners.
Ward will receive the award at UMC’s Peacemaker Celebration Oct. 17 at Endeavor in downtown Greenville. His name will also be added to a plaque recognizing past award recipients on the Peacemaker Bench in Cleveland Park.
