AAA Purchases Mediate.com & ODR.com

Notable also is that the purchase of Mediate.com and ODR.com by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in 2024, with Colin as CEO.  This is AAA’s first business acquisition after nearly 100 years of operation.  Mediate.com and ODR.com remain operationally a separate “for profit” enterprise, now fully owned by the AAA, still a non-profit organization.

Acquisition Announcements

Plainly, the driving force for AAA’s acquisition of Mediate.com and ODR.com was AAA’s strong interest in more fully embracing mediation and in being a, if not the, leader of online dispute resolution technology development and services.  Jim Melamed and Colin Rule continue to work for Mediate.com and ODR.com, with Colin as CEO of Mediate.com and ODR.com and Jim as Senior Vice President for Mediation and General Counsel for Mediate.com and ODR.com.
