Begin the Certification Process Certification Badges area annually updated

Now that you are ready to get your Certification, here are the next steps!

1. Be a current Premium Member or Featured Member

The Premium and Featured Membership allows you to display your professional services in the Directory, the most used mediator directory in the world, with a full profile.

2. Review the Application to confirm that you meet the requirements

Some of the core basics of the application include:

  • Confirm you have 100 hours of mediation training
  • Update your directory listing
  • Confirm you are at Practitioner or Senior status
    • minimal 100 hours of mediation training
    • minimal 200 hours of mediating
  • Agree to the Mediator Standards of Practice
  • Verify 12 hours of annual continuing education

3. Purchase the Certification Application

The Certification Application is a one time fee of $49.00 and is non-refundable.

4. Submit your Certification Application

Applications will be responded to within 30 days of submission.  This response will be an approval, disapproval, request for additional information, and/or a request for a phone interview with the CEO and/or General Council.

5. You received approval!

Upon approval, you will purchase the Certification Program or Online Certification Program*at $99 annually or $10 monthly.

*Requirements of the Online Certification is partaking in one of the below trainings or comparable (upon approval).

6. You are a Certified Mediator

You now have a badge on your directory listing stating your Certified; gold star on search results of mediators; and a digital badge of your certification to download and place on your website and advertising that links back to your profile at
