
A couple of years after Jim programmed AGREE for a single computer, the Internet arrived and hit its stride and, rather suddenly, we were all then on the same network, the Internet. It was in this context in the year 2000 that Mediate.com spun off “Online Resolution” with Colin Rule in the lead.

Online Resolution was among the very first secure multi-user mediation platforms. Remarkably, Online Resolution, in the year 2000, was still defined by rather stark text (no images, audio or video) communications.

While Online Resolution, like AGREE, proved to be a bit too early for the marketplace, the Online Resolution experience did result in Colin being hired by eBay and PayPal to manage their dispute resolution systems for the following decade.
